The time-traveling boys are back, for the most part, in the latest trailer for "Hot Tub Time Machine 2." This sneak peak is the first footage audiences have seen since the first red band trailer dropped back in July.

This lag in updates may have been the result of the sequel's release date being pushed back from Christmas Day to February of next year, Cinema Blend reports.

Based on the snippets of information given, the next chapter in the Jacuzzi-turned-time-machine movie picks up after the events of the first film, finding the main guys as big successes thanks to their use of time travel. Clark Duke as Jacob, Nick played by Craig Robinson and Rob Corddry's Lou then decide to travel back in time together on a nostalgic trip. They end up, however, traveling into the future where their lives have become totally overturned.

To fix their situation and prevent this fate from coming true, the gang tries to retrace their lives and correct the mistakes they've made.

While the touchstones of nudity and profanity remain in this chapter, Cinema Blend said this trailer shows a completely different narrative than that of the first clips. In the earlier preview, Jacob, Nick and Lou have to get back into the hot tub as Lou has been shot in the nether region. They accidentally wind up in the future but are trying to figure out who was responsible for Lou's injury.

Obviously that is a different take on the film than the plot described above. Paramount Pictures also sent out a new poster with the release of this trailer, but it does little to solve the confusion.

Moviegoers will have to just patiently wait until Feb. 20 to see which movie they will actually be getting.

However, the new trailer still shows several hilarious moments, from both the main stars but also Collette Wolfe, Thomas Lennon, Adam Scott and Gillian Jacobs.

"Hot Tub Time Machine 2" hits theaters Feb. 20, 2015.
