The BAU team will take a trip down memory lane in order to find a killer who got away on the next all-new episode of "Criminal Minds" airing this Wednesday.

Last week's episode, "Anonymous," paid tribute to late actor Meshach Taylor, who passed away from lung cancer in June 2014, right after his last TV appearance on the show.

During the episode, David Rossi was told that Taylor's character, Harrison Scott, died from bone cancer just before he was set to take a vacation with his daughter, Joy. As a result, he flew out to Los Angeles to pay his last respect to his old army sergeant and former Vietnam comrade.

Meanwhile, the BAU tracked down a killer who was murdering innocent people so that his sickly daughter could find a match for an organ donor. At the end of the episode, the suspect shoots himself after he realizes that it is the only way to save his daughter, reports Entertainment Weekly.

In the upcoming episode, which is titled "Nelson's Sparrow," the BAU will revisit its origins when they examine one of Rossi and Gideon's old cases, hoping it will lead them to catch a killer who got away.

"Girl Meets World" and "Boy Meets World" actor Ben Savage will guest star as a younger version of Gideon, while actor Robert Dunne will play a young Rossi. In addition, "Castle" star Arye Gross will make an appearance as Donnie Mallick, reports The Hollywood Hills.

According to CarterMatt, the official synopsis states, "The BAU revisits its origins when they look at one of Rossi and Gideon's old cases to track a killer that got away."

Season 10, Episode 13 of "Criminal Minds," "Nelson's Sparrow," will air on Wednesday, Jan. 28, on CBS.
