Known for her role as Lady Rose McClare, Lily James broke out unto the international stage with the release of Disney's remake of "Cinderella" this past weekend. However, James, who has various other roles lined up, still thinks she has not changed much.

Speaking with the Independent, James talked about what her life has been like after "Downton Abbey." Even though she is dating former "Doctor Who" actor Matt Smith and has two big roles coming up, not much has changed.

"I'm really anonymous," she says. "I think I'm quite chameleon-y. I look quite different on camera to how I look in the flesh. Some people have such unique faces or such a strong look that you can't help but notice them. I don't think I'm really like that."

It was perhaps this uniqueness that helped propel her success. When she first auditioned for the movie, she read for one of the evil stepdaughters but then was asked to try for the lead.

"Somebody said something funny, she laughed and then she suddenly did a big snort!" director Kenneth Branagh explained. "She didn't seem remotely embarrassed about that -- and why should she be?"

She has moved forward rather quickly, having graduated from acting school five years ago. It can all be overwhelming.

"I'm at a point in my life where you start questioning your choices and you think 'Why did I do this? Do I love this?'" she said. "First of all, you want to tell everyone you've got a job, and now I don't want to tell anyone... but then you realise that everyone is on their own journey."

Nonetheless, her success correlates to that of the movie's. According to the Hollywood Reporter, on opening weekend "Cinderella" earned $132 million globally, including $70 million in the U.S.

The movie has proven to be a huge success for Disney and trumped "Maleficent," which earned $69 million in the U.S. on opening weekend.

James, nonetheless, hopes to return to the show that launched her career. According to Zap2It, she hopes to return to Season 6 of "Downton Abbey."

"I'm really hoping to come back. I feel like it's definitely going to happen," she said. "It depends on what [creator Julian Fellowes] writes and all sorts of things."

Until then James has other projects. The Independent reports she will star as Elizabeth Bennett in "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" and in a BBC version of "War and Peace."
