The Microsoft Xbox One was released on Nov. 22 with a bundle of new features that were supposed to make the video game console the only entertainment system needed. Not everyone is happy with the Xbox One, however. Its party system in particular is drawing complaints.

According to disappointed Xbox One users, the video game console's party invitation process is frustrating and inadequate.

"Party chat and invites are flawed," a Reddit user said. "Mainly because you can't invite (like on 360), the new auto invite assumes you have one friend (or many with the exact same taste in games) and making a party or joining it is painfully long all buried deep with a unintuitive navigation design. You can't even boot people."

In addition to issues with inviting, the Smart Match feature is also being criticized.

"They need to fix Smart Match and put manual invites back in," another Reddit user said. "I don't think it needs to be one or the other."

Larry Hyrb, Microsoft director of Xbox Live programming, joined the conversation to assure gamers that Microsoft is working on the issue.

"I had a meeting today about much of this and I can say that things will get better," Hyrb, under his Reddit pseudonym MajorNelson, said. "I can't offer a timeline of a list of what till be addressed first, but we are aware of the issue and things will get better."

But Xbox One gamers aren't ones to sit around and wait. Instead, they have created their own website called Xbox Feedback. The "Community working towards a better Xbox" discusses problems with the Xbox One and suggestions on improving the system.

Hyrb said on Reddit that he has passed the site along to Microsoft.

Microsoft's Xbox One launched on Nov. 29 in 13 different territories and sold one million units within the first 24 hours of its release.
