"Orange Is the New Black" star Uzo Aduba has hit the ground running in Hollywood with her Emmy and SAG Award wins for her Netflix character, Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren.

Now, she's literally hitting the pavement by running the world-class Boston Marathon Monday.

The native Bostonian joked, "If I can carve out time to watch 'Real Housewives,' I can go and do these miles," The New York Daily News reported.

The 33-year-old actress reportedly finished her first 26.2-mile race, the 2013 New York City Marathon, in five hours and one minute. The Boston Marathon has a more challenging uphill course, however, and today's strong winds and pouring rain makes it even harder. However, Aduba seems up for the challenge.

It will be an emotional run for Aduba as she is running on behalf of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in honor of her loved ones who have lost their battles with cancer.

"I've been running for many people over the past couple of years, but this race is most close to my heart because I just lost someone special recently," she said. "When is this going to stop?"

It's been an emotional two years for the victims and their friends and families of the Boston Marathon bombing as it has been hard for all native Bostonians, such as Aduba.

This year's Boston Marathon is especially moving as a jury recently convicted Dzhokhar Tsarnaev for the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings that killed three and injured 260.

"When that tragedy happened, it was very deeply personal, because all of your friends and your family go watch the race. Many New Yorkers know what that feeling is, to see your day suddenly change so swiftly by someone's act of cowardice," she said.

"Last year it was about picking the pieces up. And now that he's been convicted, it feels like an exhalation. It's hard, but we can all start trying our very best to move on, even as we still remember."

As for "OITNB," Aduba's character, "Crazy Eyes" Warren has been a fan favorite on the prison dramedy and fans are anxiously awaiting her return. Last week, the trailer for Season 3, which is debuting on June 12, was released.

So what are the ladies from Litchfield Penitentiary up to this season?

In a strange but hilarious scene, "Crazy Eyes" shows off her eccentric writing skills based on weird human and alien encounter that's considered to be "obscene" and "sexual."

"It's not just sex. It's love," "Crazy Eyes" explained. "It's two people connecting with four other people and aliens."

The returning cast includes Taylor Schilling, Lori Petty, Laura Prepon, Diane Guerrero and Jackie Cruz, among others, as well as the arrival of Ruby Rose's Stella Carlin as well as Lori Petti's Lolly, who had a brief appearance in season two.

Also, Daya (Dascha Polanco) and Bennett (Matt McGorry) continue to turn up the heat and can't keep their hands off of each other.
