The world is only a few months away from seeing Guillermo del Toro's next big film "Crimson Peak," and a great deal of mystery continues to surround the film.

The big mystery of the film is who is the villainous ghost that appears in the film's trailer. It seems that that secret has been spoiled by Funko, which recently revealed a collection of Pop! Vinyls for the film's release. Among the releases included for "Crimson Peak" are Sir Thomas, Edith and the ghost, called Mother Ghost.

That would suggest that Lucille and Thomas' mother might be the villain of the tale.

Another one of the most fascinating aspects of the film is the possibility of an incestuous relationship between Tom Hiddleston's Sir Thomas Sharpe and his sister Lucille played by Jessica Chastain.

Hiddleston hinted at this possibility during Comic-Con in July during an interview with i09.

"The thing about gothic romance is, there's always a sexuality at play. And incest has been something that's been hinted at by other novels in the genre. But I'm not going to lay it on with anything too hard for you guys," Hiddleston said.

"It's an interesting dynamic. They're a brother and a sister who've been orphaned, and they're in this big old house, and they have a very deep connection. But there's a lot of other romantic elements in the film, too."

The sexuality seems to extend beyond the brother-sister relationship and includes two separate triangles, one between Thomas, Edith and Lucille and another between Edith Thomas and Charlie Hunnam's Dr. Alan McMichael.

All of that information will be revealed on Oct. 16 when the film is finally unveiled in theaters. Del Toro wrote the script with Matthew Robbins. Aside from Hunnam, Chastain and Hiddleston, the film also stars Mia Wasikowska as Edith Cushing. Other cast members include Burn Gorman, Leslie Hope, Doug Jones and Jim Beaver among others.
