In addition to seeing more romance between Caroline and Stefan in Season 7 of "The Vampire Diaries," "Steroline" fans may be in for an even bigger treat since there is a possibility that the couple may have a baby.

Last week, series star Candice Accola King announced on Instagram that she and her husband, Joe King of the band The Fray, are expecting their first child together. In turn, this could mean that her character, Caroline, may also be expecting as well.

During a recent interview with TVLine, King said she had no idea whether or not her real-life pregnancy will be written into Season 7. However, she admitted that it was "very funny to see" the fans" reactions to her pregnancy announcement.

"Production has known about our exciting news and there's been a lot of support," said the 28-year-old actress.

"They already knew where this season was going, and it's kind of the same as every other year: We start the beginning of the season asking the writers a lot of questions about what's going to happen. then halfway through the season, it's completely different. ... Julie [Plec] and Caroline [Dries] are the best people to ask about [whether or not her pregnancy will be written into the show.] To be honest, I'm along for the ride just like the viewers are."

King also assured "TVD" fans, although she is pregnant, Caroline Forbes will still remain a big part of the show.

"Caroline's not always in every episode anyway, so that helps a little bit, but Caroline has, so far, been a really big part of the season," she said. "Every single season, we think we know the way it's going to go, but it always changes by the end. It could really go anywhere."

King went on to reveal that Caroline will be as fierce as ever in the new season.

"We're going to see Caroline get her bite back. We'll see her coming in as a bad*ss, and sometimes she might act without thinking things totally through," she said, adding that this specifically applies to Caroline's opposition towardsd the Heretics, whom she "doesn't like or trust very much."

Furthermore, King confirmed that Caroline will be one of the several characters who will keep their promise to Elena and write diary entries to fill her in one what's she's missing during her comatose slumber.

"It is 'The Vampire Diaries,' so the diaries will live on," she explained. "The flash-forwards and the diary moments are a really beautiful addition to the season."

Meanwhile, executive producer Caroline Dries teased the Somerhalder brothers will have their hands full dealing with their mother, Lily Salvatore, and the Heretics.

"What I love about Lily is that I don't think we ever see her lift a finger on the show. ... She has a way of being manipulating and calculating and she knows how to push her son's buttons," the EP told TV Guide.

"We'll see the brothers start to turn against each other, but they'll catch on and Lily, as much as she loves her sons, has her own agenda. So, she is a villain in that what she wants opposes what our heroes want, but in her mind all she wants is peace and she would love it if everyone would get along."

The Season 7 premiere of "The Vampire Diaries" will air on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
