Amy Poehler and Nick Kroll have decided to part ways after dating for over two years.

Kroll was the first relationship for the 44-year-old "Parks and Recreation" actress after she went through her split from Will Arnett, her husband of nine years, in September 2012. It was first reported that the couple were dating in May 2013.

"Unfortunately, they just couldn't make the relationship work with their schedules," a source told Us Weekly.

Despite her breakup with Kroll the female comedian attended the Emmys on Sunday, Sept. 20 with a smile on her face bringing along her Paper Kite Productions partner, Brooke Posch, as her date.

Kroll also hit up the Emmys circuit attending a pre-party on Sept. 18 in Los Angeles.

Poehler mentioned her relationship with Kroll in her 2014 memoir, "Yes Please."

"I have a boyfriend who knows how to settle me. He puts his hand on my chest and tells me boring stories," she wrote.

"On one of our first nights together, I woke up apologizing for my snoring and he pulled out two earplugs he had worn to bed so he could hear what I was saying. It was one of the most romantic gestures I have ever seen."

Kroll is most well-known for his starring role on Comedy Central's "Kroll Show," which Poehler made a cameo on in 2014, and FX's "The League." He also previously played The Douche (née Howard Tuttleman), a foul-mouthed shock jock, on "Parks and Rec."

"Sisters," directed by Jason Moore, is the next movie Poehler appears in with her co-star and longtime comic friend Tina Fey. Additional cast members in the film include John Leguizamo, Maya Rudolph and Madison Davenport. The tentative release date for the film is Dec. 18.

Poehler has two sons, Archie, 6, and Abel, 5, with Arnett.
