Fox Sports is using outspoken 2016 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump to star in a new 30-second hype video touting Team USA's superiority to Mexico in advance of their CONCACAF weekend playoff showdown.

The two soccer teams face off at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California on Saturday evening, with the winner moving on to represent CONCACAF in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia. Based on a quick glimpse of some of the comments posted on Twitter in the wake of the video, the act didn't seem to go over well with many.

In one instance, a poster from the Church of Soccer used a baseball hat styled in the form of the "Make America Great Again" models Trump is now peddling to note, "This was a dumb idea."

The current front-runner in a crowded GOP field, Trump has used his tough talk on issues like immigration to propel himself into the graces of conservatives everywhere. The bombastic real estate mogul boasted if elected it would take him less than two years to deport some 18 million current U.S. immigrants.

At the event he used to officially launch his campaign, Trump derided Mexicans here in the U.S. as "rapists" and "criminals." Despite plenty of backlash, Trump has held firm on most of his reckless contentions, recently telling reporters "they have to go."

Trump added his plan would include a threefold increase in the number of agents now assigned to guard the border and a system where immigrants convicted of a crime would be quickly deported. Trump has also vowed to rescind the executive order previously enacted by President Obama allowing many immigrants and their family's to remain here in the U.S.

In the latest Quinnipiac University poll of key swing states, CNN reports Trump tops the republican field in Pennsylvania, Florida and Ohio.
