After the Samsung Galaxy Grand On had most of its specs revealed by TENAA over the weekend, two unannounced Gionee Android mobiles have now followed suit.

According to Times-News, the devices are the GN5001 smartphone and the GN9010 phablet.

The GN5001 is the smaller of the pair with a five-inch 1280 x 720 HD TFT display, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB internal memory expandable up to 128GB via micro-SD.

The handset is 143 mm long, 70 mm wide, and 8.6 mm thick while weighing 188.5 grams. It sports an eight-megapixel primary camera with 720p video recording and CMOS sensor while selfies and videos can be taken from its five-megapixel secondary unit.

Gionee's upcoming smartphone supports GSM, LTE FDD, TD-LTE, TD-SCDMA and WCDMA networks as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB and FM Radio. They are all powered by a yet to be named 1.3 GHz quad-core processor.

Meanwhile, the GN9010 has a 5.5-inch 720 x 1280 AMOLED display, an unspecified 1.3GHz octa-core on chip and 2GB of RAM. The larger device is 152 mm long, 75 mm wide, and 7 mm thick while coming much lighter at 145.2 grams. It is fitted with a 13 or eight-megapixel rear-facing unit and a five-megapixel front-facing shooter. Its back camera has a CMOS sensor with support for 1080p video recording and four times optical zoom.

The Chinese mobile manufacturer's next generation phablet has the same internal storage, expansion capacity, networking and connectivity options as the GN5001. Both models also have the Android 5.1 Lollipop pre-installed.

The release dates of the aforementioned Android mobiles have yet to be announced, although Gionee previously mentioned it would launch its first India-made smartphone in the said country before the Diwali festival, which begins on Nov. 10 this year.

"By March, 2016 we expect to assemble all phones that will be sold in India at two outsourced locations in the country. So, we will be selling all 'Made in India' phones in India. We will have first such phone before Diwali," said Gionee India CEO Arvind R. Vohra via India Times.

Gionee also announced a month ago that it will be collaborating with Foxconn and Dixon Technologies to start producing India-made smartphones. Foxconn is assigned to manufacture the company's F and P lineup while Dixon Technologies will concentrate on flagship offerings. The partnership will cost Gionee $50 million in the next three years, as per GSM Arena.

Lastly, Vohra said the company is considering expanding to the "wearable" tech market soon, with an official announcement expected to be made at the Mobile World Congress in February 2016.
