Fans of the "X-Men" and "Star Wars" movie series will be hitting two birds with one stone come the third week of December. It has been confirmed that the first full trailer of "X-Men: Apocalypse" will release alongside the premiere of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

None other than "X-Men" producer Simon Kinberg confirmed the news during a recent sit down with Collider. He said, "Our first trailer will be on 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens.' It's our first thing out there so it is somewhat of a teaser, but it's certainly longer than a minute and it has a ton of cool stuff in it."

In a short video posted on Collider's YouTube channel back in September, It was also Kinberg who spoke openly about the upcoming superhero flick.

"I'm very proud of Apocalypse. We felt a lot of pressure. I think it delivers on this dramatic story and emotion of the last two movies. It feels like the culmination of the story of these four main characters in McAvoy, Fassbender, Nic Hoult and Jen," said the producer.

As to what die-hard "X-Men" fans can expect from the film, Kinberg had this to say:

"It's a bigger movie both physical scale and emotional status too because it is the culmination of this, sort of, mini-trilogy of stories."

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is directed by Bryan Singer. The 50-year old New Yorker manned the helm for the first two "X-Men" movies back in 2000 and 2003. He returned to the series in 2014 with "Days of Future Past." His latest "X-Men" title will hit cinemas on May 27, 2016. It stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac and Rose Byrne.

ComicBook reported last week that "The Wolverine" actor Hugh Jackman might be involved in the film's reshoots taking place in January. Although Jackman is set to reprise his role as Logan in 2017's "Wolverine 3," he has not been officially confirmed to appear in "X-Men: Apocalypse."

Meanwhile, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" opens on Dec. 18.

With "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" projected to be one of the biggest film of 2015, it's no surprise other movies are looking to latch trailers to it. One such title is "Captain America: Civil War."

According to a Reddit user who was present during a recent panel discussion in Cleveland, directors Anthony and Joe Russo mentioned that fans will be pleased with the first full trailer of "Captain America: Civil War."

They reportedly said, "The trailer is almost complete. With just a few special effects left to edit in, it should be out soon. You're really going to enjoy it."
