If you haven't noticed it yet, Sony has ported some of its PlayStation 2 games to PlayStation 4 in what might look like a backwards compatibility feature, but the company said it is not.

However, some fans of the "GTA San Andreas" may be in for a surprise if they acquire the game from European PlayStation Stores. According to VG247, the European version of the game has disparities against its U.S. counterpart. These include issues on frame pacing, failing to deliver an excellent game. Apparently, the European copy uses the original PAL code while the U.S. version has been using the NTSC version.

According to GamingBolt, fans were a bit apprehensive paying something that they already owned in the past, but that shouldn't be an issue if the quality of the video game will be better. The video, which was scaled at 1080p, showed some significant improvement from its previous version. However, it's hard to indicate whether the scene occurred during the day or at night. The website also mentioned how the PlayStation 3 remastered version of PlayStation 2 games has better frame rates and graphics as compared to the PlayStation 4 remastered version.

Currently, "GTA San Andreas" is the only one that has received a review from players, who have already acquired the copy. Other remastered games that would eventually be reviewed are "Dark Cloud," "Grand Theft Auto III," "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City," "Rogue Galaxy" and "The Mark of Kri." The said games retail for $14.99 each. "Twisted Metal: Black" and "War of the Monsters," which retails for $9.99 each, might also be reviewed in the future. European prices for the games have not been included, but expect it to be more or else the same as its U.S. counterparts.

The games were all developed to receive the 1080p display and will also feature Live Broadcast, Remote Play, Share Play and Activity Feeds. They will also have second screen support for game manuals with PlayStation Vita or PlayStation App.

If you're wondering what's next on the list, PSN will soon include the "PaRappa the Rapper 2" and "The King of Fighters 2000."

Have you tried the newly ported PlayStation 2 games on PlayStation 4? What do you think of the quality of the videos after upgrading them to a 1080p display?
