DICE has been open about what they're up to and now that "Star Wars: Battlefront" has made its way out, the team is slowly moving into creating "Battlefront 5".

In a recent tweet by Dan Vanderlind of DICE, he said, "Now that we've shipped Battlefront and a part of the team continues to work on it, I am moving on to another project, the next Battlefield."

Previously, EA has already announced the coming of "Battlefield" in 2016, which confirms the imminent development of the game. According to Attack of the Fan Boy, the "Battlefield" series though it had ignited some expectations in the past, but it didn't actually have what it takes to be a blockbuster.

The "Battlefield Hardline," for example, didn't gain the praise of its fans primarily because of its character context that portrayed cops and robbers, something that is hardly seen with the conventional "Battlefield" concept.

"Battlefield 4," on the other hand, suffered server problems during its initial release that despite being fixed overtime, reviews were already marred by the said glitch. PCGamer, however, noticed how DICE subtly broke the pattern of "Battlefield" releases, which usually comes every two years.

If "Battlefield 5" is really coming in 2016, this will be the first time that the series is launched in an annual basis with "Battlefield: Hardline" released earlier this year.

When asked why they haven't been seriously considering annualizing the game, EA CEO Andrew Wilson said that they are more focused on letting the players enjoy their time playing "Battlefield 4" and "Battlefield: Hardline," its live service as well as the community that has emerged from playing these games.

Featured on IGN, Blake Jorgensen of EA said, "What we've said on our intention over the next couple of years is to have a first person shooter as one of the core titles. This year, it's obviously 'Star Wars: Battlefront.' Next year, it's another Battlefield title."

If you're wondering how this current "Battlefield" series is going to look like, according to GameSpot, DICE producer Patrick Bach hinted that it will definitely have more features, destruction and content. He also added, "Every new game needs to be the next big thing."

With the whole team gearing up to divide equal attention on the recently released "Star Wars: Battlefront" and the upcoming "Battlefield 5," fans can expect a rather balanced game while they enjoy "Battlefront" and at the same time look forward to the release of DICE's "Battlefield 5."
