There's not much to expect from the creator of the JRPG "Shadow Hearts," primarily because of its failed attempt to invite new gamers to this kind of game. Nevertheless, when Midway developer of Mortal Kombat and NFL Blitz invited Matsuzo Machida to make another game, you might think Machida has something to offer after all.

According to TechnoBuffalo, Machida confirmed that he is indeed making a new game, but in his interview with Italian site Geek Gamer, he also said that he can't reveal the title of the game just yet.

"Unfortunately, I can't reveal any details about it right now, but I'm working on a new game. In the future, I would love to create a western adaptation of it," Machida said.

When asked if he has considered bringing his creation to Kickstarter in order to get funds for the project, Machida implied that to be able to stand out and be of value on such a prominent crowdfunding site, you must have a reasonable number of followers. Machida believes that he hasn't achieved that goal so far.

He said, "On a personal level, obviously the presence of such fans is indeed precious. Should I get the chance to, one day I would like to create something able to answer their expectations, and I would definitely throw all of myself into it."

Machida, however, considered creating an HD remasters of the "Shadow Hearts" series, but none of them has been confirmed to have been started.

"Currently there's no such project, but I will continue to work hard with the rest of the staff to make it so that one day it will be possible," he shared.

Machida admits that despite "Shadow Hearts II's" bad ending, he believes that it is not exactly the end of the series. He also mentioned that Yuri, the main character of the series, might be back to put a better ending on "Shadow Hearts I."

According to Gematsu, "Shadow Hearts" never really had a formal "Shadow Hearts III." The series went on to launch "Shadow Hearts," "Shadow Hearts: Covenant" and "Shadow Hearts: From the New World."

"Shadow Hearts" was originally played on PlayStation 2.

Technically, Matsuzo Machida's work has not made any exceptional impression in the gaming world, but with Midway putting its trust on the "Shadow Hearts" creator, players are bound to look forward on another game, which will be something different from what's already been revealed. For the meantime, we'll have to wait until Machida announces the title of his next game.
