Comedian and TV personality Rosie O' Donnell is never silent when it comes to her opinionated views and outspoken commentary, and she made that very clear in her recent tweets about troubled actress, Lindsay Lohan.

After watching Lohan's latest docu-series episode on OWN, Donnell expressed that she felt Lohan was a "tragedy."

She tweeted, "The Lindsay show is a tragedy - on every level - I hope one day she gets sober for real and watches these episodes - n sees what we all do."

Donnell also poked fun at Lindsay's mother, Dina Lohan. "Dina Lohan looks like a hell of a lot of fun to work with. It must be fun to write a book with someone who's never read one. #LindsayonOWN."

Soon after she posted her tweets, Donnell began receiving a slew of responses from Lohan fans calling Donnell a "bully" and urging her to "quit the hate."

One fan named Adam even tweeted that once he finishes film school, he will get Lohan back up on the big screen to prove Donnell wrong.

Donnell responded with, "I am not picking on her Adam, I am saddened by the situation, I wish she had the help she obviously needs."

Donnell later added: "not cheering for her demise at all, praying for her health."

So what does Lindsay have to say about this? Well, so far there's been no word from Lindsay or her camp about the "Donnell slam," but in a recent interview with David Letterman, Lohan expressed that things aren't always what they appear to be on television.

"It's edited very differently," the 27-year-old actress told Letterman. "Some things are taken out of context and that creates the drama and the spectacle. I don't have control of the editing, I am producer, but I don't have control of that aspect of it. But it's pretty raw. I mean, it's just me kind of sorting out life again and figuring things out. Taking new steps and living in like, sober-minded, it's a process."

Aside from the editing, Lohan also admitted that she doesn't yet have complete control over sobriety either. She revealed that she "had a glass of wine, and that was it" in a recent episode.
