The Golden Globes offered a number of surprises but also showed a lot of love for Latin actors and directors as three Latinos went on to win Globes. This showed a mix of diversity to the organization as many awards groups, particularly the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science, have been criticized for the lack of diversity in its winners and nominees.

Oscar Isaac, Gael Garcia Bernal and Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu were the three winners that represented Latin America and also brought some of their best work to the screen this year. So what will these three newly crowned winners do next?

Oscar Isaac

Isaac started off the night with his win for his TV show "Show me a Hero." The actor was coming off one of the best years of his career as he had starred in "Ex Machina," "Show Me a Hero" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." He was also coming off wins for his film "A Most Violent Year." Isaac had previously been nominated for the Globe but no one expected him to win the Globe for TV. Now that he is a Globe winner, Isaac will showcase his talents in four upcoming films. This year he will appear as the villainous Apocalypse in "X-Men: Apocalypse" and in "The Promise" by Terry George. That film will also star Christian Bale, and it looks to be an awards film. The actor has also signed on for "The Foreigner" and is currently filming the next Star Wars installment.

Gael Garcia Bernal

Believe it or not Bernal had never been nominated for a Globe before this year. His work as a film actor was never recognized, and this year he won for his TV shows "Mozart in the Jungle." The actor is most recognized for his work in film, and that is the route he will continue in the next year. He will follow up his win with Jonas Cuaron's "Desierto," which was critically acclaimed in Toronto and which looks to be a big hit. He will also star in "Zoom" and is also expected to appear in "Eva Doesn't Sleep." He will also appear in Pablo Larrain's highly anticipated "Neruda," which is likely headed to Cannes and will team up with Werner Herzog for "Salt and Fire."

Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu

Inarritu won his second Globe after last year winning for Best Screenplay for "Birdman." The director received his fourth nomination as he was previously nominated for "Birdman" and "Babel." It is unlikely that Inarritu will announce his next project any time soon as he usually takes a few years between films. This year was an exception as "Birdman" and "The Revenant" came out one after the other, and the the latter was actually planned before "Birdman." Inarritu is headed to TV as he will direct two episodes of the show "The One Percent" and will also produce Guillermo del Toro's new film. Inarritu's next stop will likely be the Oscars as he will be nominated for Best Director and Best Film.
