Latin Americans have an array of food fares that cannot be found in any other countries. And this is even more true with bizarre foods that the natives consider as "normal" cuisine.

Latinos have a lot of culinary traditions and styles so foreigners usually find their dishes as exotic. Most are creative and delectable to eat while the most unusual ones may give you goosebumps. They may look weird but they are interesting Latin American cuisines that may pique your taste buds -- Check these foods out:

1. Peru: Cuy Chactao (Fried Guinea Pig)

This is a specialty in the Andes Mountains, most especially in Peru. They are also served in Bolivia and Ecuador where the natives raise them as food. Guinea pigs are classified as rodents but they are the types found in the wild. This is served whole, including the head and feet, so you might be surprise when they come to your plate. For the taste, according to Escape Here, they are like fried chicken but just greasier.

2. Colombia: Hormigas Culonas (Big Butt Ants)

Colombians love this and they are usually served as a snack. Typically, the head, pincers and wings are taken out so they look like peanuts when served. To have its flavor, they are salted and toasted. They are only harvested once a year, during the Holy Week, so Hormigas Culonas are expensive. The were even nicknamed "caviar of Santander."

3.Brazil: Buchada (Goat Stomach)

There is a state in north east Brazil called Ceará. One of the traditional and favorite dish in this place is Buchada. The internal organs of a baby goat are cut in small portions then the blood and seasonings are added. The mix is then stuffed back inside the goat's belly and cooked.

4.Bolivia: Caldo de Cardan (Bull Penis Soup)

Matador Network listed Caldo de Cardan soup as Bolivia's weird delicacy. This is because the main ingredients to make it are bull's penis and the testicles. Once served in a bowl, the shape of the bull's genitals are unmistakable so it can make you think twice before tasting.

Then again, the broth which is filled with the right herbs and spices are said to be flavorful. However, the meat has to be chewed a bit more since it is a little tough. The natives believe it has medicinal values -- can help with hangovers, fatigue and anemia. Moreover, it is an aphrodisiac according to Bolivians.

5.Mexico: El Mural de los Poblanos (Ant eggs and Worm Tacos)

This is a common fare in Mexico. The worms and ant eggs are served taco-style.
The worm and eggs are slightly fried and eaten with guacamole, onions and soft tortillas. They don't look appetizing but they are said to be very delicious.
