EA Sports has finally delivered what they promised to its fans, a new and updated "UFC 2."

According to MMA News, a new gameplay trailer has already been released and it showcases some of the latest updates on "UFC 2." The new "UFC 2" video has improved in terms of the quality, by which a player reacts and knocks out his opponent. The realistic and more defined features of the game have deliberately replaced the lower quality of its previous version.

The defense of the game has also been restructured and divided into two major ways. The "weak block" has been removed. The previous version that uses the "weak block" tends to block everything.

The new "UFC 2" will only use the "strong block," where every type of block will result to either blocking high or low. Grappling has also been changed and is no longer turn-based unlike in previous versions of the MMA game.

Phil "CM Punk" Brooks, a professional MMA fighter, rated the game 85/100. On his Twitter account, he said, "Not since Samus Aran was revealed to be a woman have dummies been this butt hurt about a video game."

Despite the latest improvement on "UFC 2", EA Sports wasn't able to dodge critics who commented about the game, starting from its cover picture. Apparently, questions about Ronda Rousey being on the cover doesn't sit well with others. This is after the MMA star was beaten by Holly Holmes in an unprecedented knockout win in their last fight. CM Punk, who hasn't even made his debut on the MMA ring but built his name around his tenure in the WWE, was given a high rate without any apparent basis.

According to Game Rant, it's hard to believe how EA Sports can come up with such rating when the player hasn't even fought on the ring. CM Punk's comment on Twitter, despite making it as a light joke, didn't amaze the UFC fans who said that Samus Aran is one of the most celebrated female MMA fighters in history.

With all the controversies on the launch of "UFC 2," it is still worth taking the time to review what has been developed and updated about the game. "UFC 2" launches on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this coming March.
