"WWE SmackDown" was filmed in Louisiana and saw a new champion crowned.

WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose opens the show and demanded a Last Man Standing match against Kevin Owens at the "Royal Rumble." Sheamus interrupted, followed by Owens, who then attack Ambrose until Neville appears. The four aforementioned men will compete in a tag-team match for the show's main event.

In a tables match, The Dudley Boyz defeated Wyatt Family members Erick Rowan and Luke Harper. After the match, fellow Wyatt member Braun Strowman attacked the Dudleys and more table breaking occurred.

Backstage, JoJo interviewed United States Champion Kalisto. The Latino champion won the title during the last "Monday Night Raw," but he will compete in a rematch later in the show.

The new faction Social Outcasts (Curtis Axel, Adam Rose, Bo Dallas and Heath Slater) defeated Goldust, Damien Sandow, Zack Ryder and Jack Swagger.

It was time for Kalisto to defend his new United States Championship against former champion Del Rio. After nearly a day of holding the title, Kalisto lost due to interference from Bad News Barrett. As a result, Del Rio is now a two-time United States Champion.

In divas action, Becky Lynch defeated Brie Bella via submission.

Main event time with Ambrose and Neville vs. Owens and Sheamus, basically a rematch of "SmackDown" two weeks ago but with Neville instead of Roman Reigns. The match ended in no contest due to all four men fighting outside the ring. The show concluded with Ambrose and Neville hitting their finisher moves on Owens.

"WWE SmackDown" airs weekly on Thursdays on the USA Network at 8 p.m. EST.
