With the Iowa caucuses less than two weeks away, "Confident" singer Demi Lovato took to the campaign trial to stump for Hillary Clinton in the critical, early voting state Thursday night.

As Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders surges in early-voting states, Lovato tried firing up female voters for Clinton. "I don't think there's a woman more confident than Hillary Clinton," the singer said. She also expressed her support on social media.

Recent polling also suggests the best chance the more left-wing Sanders has of holding onto his lead in the state is by turning out young voters. Older women are said to be solidly aligned behind the former first lady, but her campaign has grown increasingly worried about a potential voting split among young females.

Thursday night's crowd, on the campus of the University of Iowa, largely consisted of women who favor Clinton and are moved by the prospect of her becoming the first female president.

"She's a really strong woman, and I'm really drawn to that," Stephanie Schulz, a 20-year-old University of Iowa student, told CNN.

Jennifer Aldrich, a 44-year-old fitness instructor in Iowa City, brought her 16-year-old daughter and her daughter's friend to see Clinton.

"This is a great opportunity for them to see what could be the first woman president -- and Demi Lovato, let's be real," she added to CNN reporters.

The 23-year-old Lovato has been exuding more than just a little confidence of her own of late. The Daily Mail reports she oozed sex appeal when she recently attended Stella McCartney's 2016 Fall Presentation in Los Angeles.

Lovato also recently celebrated her six-year anniversary with boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama, openly reflecting on how much the two have overcome to arrive at where they now find themselves.

"We started dating when I turned 18...Right after that, I went to rehab," she said. "People told him, 'You should probably leave. She's on a spiral, and you're going to be sucked down with it.' But he was like, 'I'm not leaving. This is somebody I really care about.'"
