Louis Tomlinson is now a dad. The One Direction singer confirmed that his ex-fling Briana Jungwirth gave birth to a son in hospital in Los Angeles. However, no matter how excited he is on the birth of his baby, he may lose a lot in terms of money because he is being asked for $600,000 yearly for child support.

Jungwirth is a stylist with whom the British pop superstar was romantically linked after his separation to long-time girlfriend Eleonor Calder. But regardless of how brief their fling was, the couple apparently produced a child.

In any case, Tomlinson personally announced the birth of his son on Twitter. The new dad wrote: "I'm pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday :)."

The singer seems really excited that he further tweeted: "He is healthy and pretty amazing :) I'm very happy!!"

It was in July of last year, that the singer admitted that he is having a baby with Jungwirth. The singer said on E! News, "Obviously it's a very exciting time, so I'm buzzing."

The baby was born on Jan. 21 and according to report on The Sun UK, the child was uniquely named Sydney Rain. Then again, his last name is still unsure since his parents are not together anymore.

The source also said that Sydney Rain's birth certificate has yet to be filed so legal arrangements are taking place to make sure everything would be in order. Aside from the birth record, the ex-couple is said to be in legal battle now for the custody of the child, Hollywood Life reported.

In addition, even if the singer had previously expressed that he would be an awesome dad, Jungwirth wants more than that, and she is now asking for a $58,000 a month child support until the baby turns 18 years old.

It was said that Jungwirth's family is not happy with Tomlinson's way of dealing with Briana's pregnancy and birth of the child so they are taking steps to make him provide the "proper amount."

Inquisitr reported that Briana's family is attacking the singer and claiming that Louis made a promise to buy a house for Briana but it turned out that he only rented a property that is filled with cheap furniture.

On the other hand, Tomlinson's family said that Louis has been generous and even providing Briana a monthly allowance which the singer is not actually legally obligated to do so since they are not married.

Lastly, regarding the child support, the One Directioner's legal team stated on The Sun UK that: "There will be little manoeuvring over final figures but negotiations on both sides are cordial and should be wrapped soon."
