Where is the love?

Some might find themselves wondering just that during the upcoming Season 8 Valentine's Day airing of "Castle," where ABC states there will be little in the way of romance exchanged between costars Rick (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett.

After spending the whole first half of the season estranged from one another and only recently finding their way back together, some might think the sparks would be undeniably flying between the two on such a couples-oriented occasion.

But the synopsis for the episode 10 show suggests it's just another day for the crime-fighting, husband and wife duo, with Rick being called to the stand to testify in the "Witness for the Prosecution" themed episode about a murder case they thought they had put to bed months ago.

Word is new evidence now has the pair scrambling to make certain the wrong man isn't sent to prison

Co-showrunner Alexi Hawley previously shared that the case in question is a new one, but that it will involve several key elements from past shows many fans will surely recognize and appreciate.

"I think it will be a treat for our longtime fans," co-showrunner Terence Paul Winter added to TV Line. "It refers to several things that have happened in the last few years."

And for fans still wondering about the romance, or lack thereof, reports are with the show airing on back-to-back nights beginning on Feb. 14, the Valentine's Day special episode has as much to with keeping the series on regular schedule as it does making any kind of thematic statement.

ABC network execs recently announced the mid-season premiere originally scheduled for Feb. 1 has now been pushed back a week later to Feb. 8.

The series also stars Molly Quinn as Alexis Castle, Seamus Dever as Kevin Ryan and Jon Huertas as Javier Esposito.
