Latin entertainment stars Anahí and Lucero both recently took to social media to share photos from Pope Francis' visit to Mexico.

Anahí shared photos from the pope's visit to Chiapas, Mexico. She and Manuel Velasco Coello, her husband and the Governor of Chiapas, greeted the pontiff at the airport.

"An unforgettable moment, words that will stay in my heart. He has words of hope and love for everyone," she captioned a photo of an intimate moment with the pontiff.

The star also shared a photo of her, her husband and the pope walking together and another of her holding the pope's hand.

This wasn't the first time that the "Boom Cha" singer met the pope. She accompanied her husband on a trip to Italy in December 2015, where she was able to meet the leader of the Catholic Church for the first time.

Last week, the singer took her admiration for Pope Francis further by releasing a song called "Amigo Francisco." The song was named the official theme of the pope's visit to Chiapas and features fellow Mexican artist Julion Alvarez.

Singer and actress Lucero was also on hand to welcome the pope for his visit to Mexico. She greeted the pontiff upon his arrival to Mexico City on Feb. 12.

On her instagram account she shared a photo of the pope greeting children as she cheered from the sideline.

"Welcome Pope Francisco to Mexico! We receive you with our arms wide open. Thank you for giving us your love and for making us see the importance of opening our hearts!" she captioned the photo.
