On May 1, Kim Kardashian shared a #ThrowbackThursday picture of one of the best days in her life and a pivotal moment in her career.

The 33-year-old reality star shared a photo taken on the day that she found out that she would get the chance to grace the cover of Vogue magazine.

In the picture, she is talking with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour who broke the big cover news to Kardashian and her fiancé Kanye West during their meeting. Also featured in the picture is Kardashian's 10-month-old daughter North West, who seems to be more preoccupied with her dad, who is taking the picture.

She captioned the photo writing: "TBT when Anna met North! Oh and told us about our Vogue shoot!" Kim wrote as a caption last night, adding: #BestDayEver #Vogue #NorthOnlyPayingAttentionToHerDaddyTakingThePic.

Critics slammed Wintour for featuring Kim K. on the cover of fashion's most elite magazine. In response, the fashion maven explained why she chose to give them the cover and dispelled rumors that she caved in to Kanye's pressure.

"Part of the pleasure of editing Vogue, one that lies in a long tradition of this magazine, is being able to feature those who define the culture at any given moment, who stir things up, whose presence in the world shapes the way it looks and influences the way we see it," Wintour said.

"I think we can all agree on the fact that that role is currently being played by Kim and Kanye to a T."

Baby Nori was also featured inside the issue, which has become the highest-selling magazine in Vogue history, reports The Hollywood Gossip.

Although little Nori has been flooded with gifts from world-renowned fashion brands like Giuseppe Zanotti, Hermes Paris and Charlotte Olympia, her mother has decided to parade her daughter in affordable and comfortable baby gear.

"North has actually not worn anything designer yet!" Kim told People back in February. "Comfort is everything. Kids get dirty. She'll spit up. She moves around so much. I saw this one cute dress that was $500 and I was like, 'Absolutely not!' I just want her in little onesies or leggings."
