The hunt for a missing 11-year-old autistic boy came to a tragic end this week after the body of Terry Dewayne Smith Jr. was found buried near his home on Wednesday. Now, it appears that there may have been a higher power at work in the discovery of Smith's body.

"Authorities confirmed Friday that the volunteer citizen who located the body of a missing Menifee boy was Pam Ragland, a woman who says she found the child using her 'intuition,'" reported the Los Angeles Times.

Some may call it 'intuition,' while others would be more inclined to call it an act of psychic clairvoyance. At any rate, Ragland claims that she was able to divine the location of the boy's body from a vision she had received earlier. Ragland had called the police to disclose the location of her vision at around 1 a.m. on Wednesday.

"I got this flash and I saw the boy laying under a tree. I thought he was sleeping. There was a dirt road, and I saw this distinctive building," said Ragland, who instantly recognized the building in real life. "That's the building I saw in my vision, and it was very distinctive and it was like this- it's giving me chills to even think about it now- it was like this open tack shed."

When Ragland got to the scene of Terry's disappearance, she drove around with an officer looking for scenery that matched up with what she had seen in her mind's eye. Eventually she came upon the building she had recognized.

Ragland didn't stop there, however. She walked around a bit until she found a tree that was also a part of her vision. From there she got the overwhelming smell of rotting flesh, and soon found the boy's head sticking roughly half of a foot out of the ground. Ragland quickly called over the police officers, who confirmed her find.

So far it is uncertain what events precipitated the murder of Terry Smith Jr. Authorities have questioned everyone in the family, and have taken his older half-brother into custody under suspicion that he killed the young boy. Terry and his brother, who is 16 and unidentified, had reportedly been having issues with each other prior to his death.

"Everybody has known Terry, if they're lucky, for five minutes; we've known him for 11 years and we have 11 years of grieving to do," Terry's mother's longtime lesbian partner Denise said.
