The poster to the new horror film "Incarnate" has been revealed.

The poster features someone's hand putting a cross into another character's mouth. The poster also features the slogan "Faith has failed us" underneath the title of the film. It also states that the movie was produced by the same team that brought "The Purge" and "Insidious."

"Incarnate" tells the story of a scientist (Aaron Eckhart) with the ability to enter the subconscious minds of the possessed. In a new mission the scientist must save a young boy from the grips of a demon with powers never seen before, while facing the horrors of his past.

It is the third feature for Eckhart this fall as he will also star in the festival hits "Sully" and "Bleed for Us." Hightop releasing will distribute the film that was directed by Brad Peyton ("San Andreas").

The film also stars Carice Van Houten ("Black Book"), Academy Award nominee Catalina Sandino Moreno ("Maria Full of Grace"), David Mazouz ("Gotham"), Keir O'Donnell ("American Sniper"), Matt Nable ("Riddick") and John Pirruccello ("Twin Peaks").

The film was produced by Jason Blum, Trevor Engelson & Michael Seitzman and written by Ronnie Christensen.

"Incarnate" will be released in theatres​ December 2,​ 2016.
