AnnaBeth almost received a proposal, and Wade was presented with a life-changing opportunity on the latest episode of "Hart of Dixie."

In "Stuck," Zoe (Rachel Bilson) decides to become the town matchmaker, or as she comically calls herself, a "love maker."

Zoe decides to become a matchmaker after setting up one successful love match. However, lightening doesn't strike twice, especially when Wade's (Wilson Bethel) father, Crazy Earl, is involved.

While Zoe is trying to help Earl, Zoe realizes how much she cares for Earl, and also Wade. She tries to make those who are close to Wade happy.

However, Wade keeps telling Zoe, who is similar to the misguided titular character in Jane Austen's "Emma," that her matchmaking plans will only lead to failure. Earl tries to quit his heavy drinking, leading Zoe and Wade to eventually find a sober Earl injured in a ditch. They repair his injured leg, and see that he is trying to make a concerted effort to better his life.

But just when Wade and Zoe are getting closer, Wade finds out that he has an opportunity to franchise the Rammer Jammer in Atlanta, and wants to move to the city to help set up the restaurant. Wade has finally begun to acknowledge his love for Zoe, so he's now facing a tough decision.

Meanwhile, Lemon (Jaime King) wants Fancie's to be uber-successful after getting a great review from the restaurant critic.

Lemon therefore helps Davis, AnnaBeth's (Kaitlyn Black) new beau, set the scene for his upcoming proposal at Fancie's. But just as Davis is about to propose to AnnaBeth, the curtains catch fire. Lemon freezes, incredulous that her restaurant is burning.

Magnolia (Claudia Lee) and Rose (McKaley Miller) also have a rivalry that is similar to Zoe and Lemon's, with Magnolia angry at coming home to see that her father, Brick (Tim Matheson), is spending a lot of time with Rose, who wants to become a doctor.

After Magnolia gets angry that she's his "replacement daughter," Brick assures her that he loves her, and that she could never be replaced.

On the upcoming season finale, "Second Chance," "Wade must make a hard choice about his future in the wake of Zoe's grand gesture. Meanwhile, Lavon and George encounter their hero, Don Todd; and Grandma Bettie advises Lemon to conduct an earnest search for a husband."

Watch the promo below for the season finale, which airs Fri., May 16 at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
