Kobe Bryant is taking some time off his busy schedule to take in the beauty of Italy. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar went on a vacation in Milan over the weekend, but the time off didn't mean he's raising a white flag on rehabilitating his injured foot.

According to the Los Angeles Times, while in the country, Kobe paid Milanello Sports Centre a visit to continue rehab for his surgically repaired Achilles' tendon.

"I'm here on vacation but I still have to work and improve on recovering from my injury," the former MVP told Forza Milan in Italian, translated by The Times.

With just a few games left in the 2012-13 NBA season, Bryant tore his Achilles' heel, putting him on the sidelines for six to nine months. Since then, the Lakers were eliminated from the Playoffs in the first round, and for the Black Mamba, he has undergone surgery and has since been in rehab.

"It is difficult because I can't do much, but I am getting stronger every day and I am hoping to return by November or December," Bryant added.

When asked what he expects from the coming season amidst a major change in their roster, Kobe has one thing in mind: "Championship."

"It's always the dream when you start the season you always want to win the championship. It's the only thing that counts."
