In the latest issue of Men's Fitness magazine, Marc Anthony gets intimate and personal.

Anthony graces the cover of Men's Fitness' June issue with a stern look. In the magazine he shares childhood memories of his father.

"My dad would tell me, 'Son, I'm ugly and you're ugly -- work on your personality," Anthony told the magazine according to Radar Online.

According to Anthony, this was actually a good thing for the singer to hear.

"I think it served me well," he added. "I think confidence is a powerful thing."

Anthony also discussed his romantic life, which has featured lovers like Chloe Green. Apparently, the "Vivir Mi Vida" singer looks fondly upon his former partners.

"The people I have ended up in relationships with are human beings," Anthony explained. "They're not conquests."

Anthony famously married fellow Latino superstar Jennifer Lopez in 2004; he and the mother of his twins, Emme and Maximillian, divorced after almost eight years in 2012. Recently, Lopez opened up about the split.

"I went through a tremendous low," she said in an early May interview with People magazine. "But I wouldn't change anything [about my past] because it made me who I am."

Lopez added that splitting from Anthony gave her the chance to "take a look at what was going on."

"As women we can sometimes give ourselves away," she added. "I was certainly guilty of that for some time. Now I realize I am good on my own, so now I can share my life with somebody. ... I just feel like I went through a real growth spurt as a human being [when I became a mother]. Having my babies allowed me to realize what real unconditional love was."
