Nintendo is gearing up for the release of "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" early next year. The Japanese company has shared a little preview for the game with a holiday message for fans around the world who are eagerly awaiting the game.

Nintendo is in full holiday cheer as they released a small preview of what is to come for "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." In their website, they shared footage of Link snowboarding on the snowy mountains of Hyrule with the message "A Link to holidays past... and those yet to come." The company also greeted fans a "Legendary new year."

"Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is set to be released in early next year but Nintendo has not revealed the official release date yet. The game will be playable for the Wii U and the equally anticipated Nintendo Switch.

More information for "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will be revealed during Nintendo's special event on January 12 in Tokyo. Fans that are not from Japan will have the chance to see the event via livestream that will begin by 11PM ET.

According to the screenshot posted via Nintendo's Facebook page, it may contain some clues as to what's to expect for "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." iDigital Times posits that the game could contain Autumn and Winter seasons and these environmental factors could affect how Link will be played in the game. However, these are only speculations and Nintendo has not confirmed or deny these.
