"Vampire Diaries" will soon come to an end with an episode entitled "I Was Feeling Epic." Creator Julie Plec was excited to share some of the juicy details of the show's final episode plus reasons why she chose the title for the final ep. Fans can now relax since it looks like the final scenes will finally fulfill their season-long hopes of Elena returning to the show and of course a final episode where they won't have to say goodbye to any of the characters they have grown to love for 8 seasons.

"The Vampire Diaries" creator Julie Plec said that one of the highlights of the final episode will be when Elena wakes up, Spoilers Guide reported. Plec refused to say when will her moment be but she promised that this would be so unforgettable. She also revealed that Damon would be completely shocked when he sees Elena for the first time. He will have second thoughts though if he is the right man for her and if he is ready.

Most series finales sacrifice characters to make epic endings but "The Vampire Diaries" creator said that this won't happen at the end. Julie Plec said that there won't be death in the finale but it feels like a sacrifice has to be made to save the day. Actors Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley tease a "satisfying" and "beautiful" ending. The two have been on-screen Salvatore brothers for eight long seasons but says that they want closure for the show.

Julie Plec also revealed the reason they picked the title for "The Vampire Diaries" finale episode, Entertainment Weekly reported. Plec said that it was from Lexi's line in the first few episodes of the series. Lexi was doing her best to boost Stefan's chances with Elena saying that if she thinks that the feeling is real, she can't just walk away. Stefan was so amazed of what his best friend did for him; Lexi just said "I was feeling epic."

The final episode of "The Vampire Diaries" will air this Friday, March 10 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
