Disney's Frozen is one of the most well-loved animation films in the recent years. However, the original script for the movie had Elsa as an evil villain who is not sisters with Anna who was also supposed to be not a royal princess. However, one thing remains, Hans was evil in both stories.

The original script of "Frozen" was reportedly heavily inspired from the tale by Hans Christian Andersen. Entertainment Weekly reports that the film's producer, Peter Del Vecho says that the team did not like the ending of the first script saying Elsa is too much of a villain without any real personality.

Del Vecho adds that Elsa was not a princess of Arendelle but was created as an evil villain akin to the Snow Queen. Ana in the first "Frozen" film is not of royal blood as well and is known to not have any siblings. Meanwhile, Prince Hans is the real villain who will put the kingdom at risk using Elsa's snow army.

In the team's initial "Frozen" idea, Elsa became a snow queen because she was jilted by her lover at the altar during her wedding. This is how she became evil with her heart literally frozen. The team felt that they may have seen this trope too many times before.

The original "Frozen" film would also have Elsa and Anna work together in order to save Arendelle, its people and themselves in the process. The team added that they also wanted to step away from clice fairytale endings where a true love's kiss is involved.

IGN reports that Chris Buck came up with an alternative idea to the unoriginal kiss setup. The director apparently injected the idea where it was Elsa who saves Anna from death instead. Furthermore, they also changed the cliché where a man must save a woman and thus the story for the 2013 "Frozen" movie was formed.
