The leader of Mexico, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador had been receiving negative criticisms for his insufficiency of actions toward crimes of violence against women, said an article from Latin Times. This had led to the birth of multiple protests by the people of Mexico.

The Recent Protests in Mexico

Groups of women will flock the streets of Mexico to showcase their support to the national women's protest. The protest will be held on March 9.

Additionally, the line of various crimes against women had increased to a growing number of protests that aim to express the disagreement of the people for the current Mexican president's insufficient action to resolve such matters.

His unclear plans to restore morality has triggered the birth of multiple groups of protesters.

In the previous week, a shocking event made headlines as a group of masked women initiated the performance of a rebellious act. The rebellious act included splashing red paint on the national palace's doors. Also, they vandalized the walls of the palace with graffiti.

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador's Response to the Protests

The current president of Mexico had expressed his disappointment with the collective acts of Mexican women against him. He showed his displeasure with the harsh actions of the group of women against his acts involving the country's fight on the violence on women.

According to President Obrador, the people who were expressing their disagreement with his leadership towards combating violence on women is making it hard for him and his administration to promote moral regeneration in the country.

The President expressed his respect for the opinions of the protesters. However, he said that he does not support such acts. He expressed his belief to moralize Mexico. Additionally, he believes that the country needs to purify public life and reinforce spiritual, moral, cultural values.

Furthermore, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said that he will not throw away his lifetime beliefs just because of a group people had protested against his. He had emphasized the importance of spiritual shift. Also, he stated that there will be difficulties in the achievement of a material change, a spiritual one.

Comments from the Protesters About Obrador's Leadership

The group of women who participated in the protests had claimed that the current president of Mexico sees 'femicide' as a public relations and political issue rather than a serious phenomenon that has that power to take the lives of millions of Mexican women.

According to an activist named Maricrus Ocampo, she believes that the message that the current president of Mexico is giving out to the people is that he does not care. She emphasized that the issue is not only about women but about the Mexican problem.

After finding out about the significant number of deaths from murder, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador was noticed to have an indifferent attitude. He even blamed family breakdowns and 'neoliberal laws' from the past 30 years for the crimes.

Obrador was seated as the leader of Mexico with the promise to promote social change. However, protesters believed that the changes he promised were not turned into action.
