It has been ruled that a young Mexican youtube vlogger will spend 50 years in imprisonment due to a kidnapping in Chihuahua, Mexico last February 2018. A female lawyer at the age of thirty-three was coerced into a car by six men, Germán Abraham Loera Acosta included. 

The suspects were named Jassiel Omar Molina Ceballos, Jesús Arnulfo Ochoa Martínez, Edgar René Subías Rubalcaba, Jesús Adrián Mendoza Pérez, Juan Alfonso Puerta Holguín, and Germán Abraham Loera Acosta. He and his associates asked for $103,000 or two million pesos in bitcoin as a ransom for the lawyer while having her locked up in a house that Acosta rented.

Two days after, the hostage was released into the hands of the police. The officers of the Investigative team who were designated to the Anti-kidnap unit on that day were the ones who saved the victim and arrested the convicts responsible for the kidnapping.

In the organization of the crime, it was found in the investigation that the suspects Mendoza Pérez and Subías Rubalcaba were the ones who took care of the lawyer before the kidnapping while Ceballos was tasked to manage the calls and to order the ransom for her. Martínez and Holguín were the ones who were guarding her during the incident.

A warrant of arrest was issued by the police to the other four associated with Acosta in the kidnapping incident. Aside from years of imprisonment, they have been charged with five hundred thousand pesos or twenty-five thousand seven hundred thirty dollars for the damages caused.

Germán Abraham Loera Acosta was found to have known a lot about internet communication according to attorney Cesar Peniche, district attorney in Mexico, Chihuahua. Acosta must have set up the arrangements of the kidnapping through his expert knowledge of the internet. Although Peniche stated that the Bitcoins are still eventually trackable.
