Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's decision to be financially independent had recently led them to find residency in Los Angeles with baby Archie.

Also, the couple had recently renounced their Sussex Royal brand after stepping down as senior royals.

In the previous week, the couple signed out of their royal duties with a final Instagram post in their official Sussex Royal account. Currently, the Instagram account, along with their website is inactive, says a recent article.

Delaying the announcement of a new Instagram Handle and Brand

The former senior royals had delayed that announcement of a new handle and brand. The couple's spokesperson stated that Meghan and Harry wanted to focus on the world and desire to remain contributors to the world's response to the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Moving Forward

Shortly after putting the Sussex Royal brand behind the couple, they are now moving forward with a new life outside of the royal family.

Meghan and Prince Harry had recently announced their new not-for-profit venture: Archewell says Harper's Bazaar.

The couple started processing the venture when they filed a trademark application in the United States Patent and Trademark Office on March 10. Since all of the submissions made to the office are public domain, it did not take long to reveal the couple's secret.

Archewell

The couple released an explanation on the name of their new not-for-profit venture and its connection with their son, Archie.

Meghan and Harry acknowledge that the world is currently busy fighting a deadly pandemic. Many think that Archie inspired the charity's name. However, the name of the venture goes the other way, says the couple.

Focus on the COVID-19 Pandemic

The couple stated that their focus is also providing support to the world's battle against COVID-19. However, since their small secret was leaked, they felt compelled to release a story behind the venture.

Before Sussex Royal, the two already had the idea of the word 'Arche.' Arche is a Greek word that means 'source of action.' They used that concept for the establishment of their future not-for-profit venture. Also, they used it as an inspiration to Archie's name.

Archewell: Explained

According to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's statement, Archewell is a term that combines strength and action to evoked the deep resources that all can source from.

Also, the trademark covers clothing to charitable services, online seminars, retreats, lectures, and movies to podcasts. The couple wanted a broad scope for the brand to protect its brand name.

The list of trademarking categories is wide-ranging for the only purpose of protection, says a source. Contrary to rumors, Meghan has no plans for launching a lifestyle website as of the moment.

The couple ends their statement by saying their hope to launch Archewell when the right time comes.
