D.L. Hughley passed out while performing on stage late Friday night in Nashville and tested positive for COVID-19. 

The 57-year-old actor and comedian D.L. Hughley shared his video while in a hospital in Nashville through his Instagram post that he was diagnosed for COVID-19. 

According to a published news report of the Daily Mail, TMZ obtained a video where D.l. Hughley has seen getting water from one of the security escorts while performing on stage and shortly after he became visibly faint and collapsed.

Meanwhile, D.L. Hughley's representative said that the comedian-actor was suffering from exhaustion after a week of work and travel. A test was also conducted by the doctors at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville before left. 

D.L. Hughley tested positive for COVID-19 after a battery of tests was performed to him according to a published report in CNN News.

Is He Symptomatic or Asymptomatic? 

D.L. Highley said on his Instagram post that he was asymptomatic and did not experience flu-like symptoms, shortness or difficulty of breathing, did not have a cough, did not have a fever, and did not also lose his sense of smell and taste. 

Additionally, he also added that until now he is not experiencing any low-grade level of fever. However, he also said that he began having trouble speaking onstage just minutes after he asked for water. 

"Apparently, I just lost consciousness. So, in addition to all the other stuff that you have to look out for, if yo' a** pass out in the middle of a show on stage, you probably need to get tested," D.L. Hughley said.

Luckily, the guard was very alert and immediately responded before D.L. Hughley fell. The guard carried him away from the venue to the nearby hospital and did not provide any explanations to the audience. 

D.L. Hughley Will Be Quarantined

Following the diagnosis of D.L. Hughley, he went back to his hotel room after he was released from the hospital. He will be quarantined for 14 days in the hotel room and will be observed. 

On Saturday morning, his representative released a statement and said: "He is awake and feeling better, and wishes to thank everyone for the very kind prayer and thoughts."

However, contact tracing is now their topmost priority. It was found out that it is not clear until now as to how many of the guests and employees wore a mask but the video obtained by TMZ showed multiple people did not wear their masks who glimpsed D.L. Hughley after he collapsed. 

D.L. Hughley Gave Thanks  

On his Instagram post, he said: "Well thank you for your prayers and your well wishes and a few more of them wouldn't hurt, so hopefully I won't develop symptoms. Maybe this is as bad as it gets."

He also thanked "The D.L. Hughley Show," "The Hughleys," "Soul Plane" and "The Comedy Get Down," Meanwhile, there is no report yet if Zanies, the venue where he performed, will be closed again or not. It was the second show of D.L. Hughley that day.
