At the age of 29, California nurse Joshua Obra, who is also known for running the popular Disneyland account @disneylandpanda, died on July 6.

This report was confirmed by his younger sister, Jasmine Obra, through her Instagram post on Friday. She mourned for the death of her brother.

On her Instagram post, Jasmine thanked everyone who prayed for Joshua during his battle against COVID-19. She also shared that her brother "fought hard" to beat the disease for 26 days, which started on the first day he experienced the symptoms.

She also added that Joshua was very close to him. They have never been apart for a long period of time. She admitted that sometimes she was too hard on him and she hoped that he knew it was out of love. Jasmine described her brother as selfless, kind, and "wanting to make everyone happy."

Aside from being a registered nurse and running a Disneyland account, Joshua loved to take and post photographs of him at the park. Most of the time he took photos in Disneyland and wherever he goes.

Jasmine was also thankful and blessed that Joshua was able to teach her some knowledge on how to be a nurse, while they were able to work together "before they got sick." In a subsequent Instagram post, Jasmine said she was still waiting on "her test results."

Jasmine also asserted that she was happy that Joshua was able to share his love for Disney, visit all the Disney parks, and had traveled in some parts of the world. She said she is so blessed to have Joshua as his brother.

"I know I'll never be able to fully understand why he was taken away from us so early, but I know he lived a good life while he was here with us. He is now free from suffering and pain," Jasmine wrote.

Jasmine believed that his brother is now "reunited with their grandparents." She also liked to think that her brother is "looking for Walt Disney" in order to talk about "all the magic."

A local news station also gave a touching message to Joshua. On its Instagram, the ABC7 announced the passing of Joshua, who was "one of our favorite Eyewitnesses."

The station continued by describing Joshua as a kind, sweet man, and a talented photographer.

"You can tell from his Instagram handle that he was a huge Disney fan, and he participated in many Disney and ABC7 events and initiatives over the years. He was someone you could depend on, and was always very generous with his time and talent," the ABC7 wrote.

The station continued that Joshua was born and raised in Southern California and shared his love for Disney with his family.

Meanwhile, the number of nurses, who got infected and died due to COVID-19, has continued to rise due to lack of personal protective equipment.
