If you love hearing about the nitty gritty of Nintendo's Switch games and other releases, then you may have sat through an episode of Nintendo Direct. The company just announced one through a Direct Mini broadcast for 10AM ET.

Nintendo Direct is a semi-regular video series done by Nintendo to focus on their coming games and hardware.

Most of their releases like Switch games are done through Nintendo Direct so, this time, they did it through Nintendo Direct Mini.

The broadcast was described as "the first Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase". It is a new series that focuses on titles from Nintendo's development and publishing partners. But, most likely, it will focus on titles from third party studios, said CNET.

It will be around 10 minutes long and will contain updates on a "small group" of games the company has announced for Switch in the past, reported The Verge.

Audiences can stay tuned to Direct Mini through Nintendo's YouTube page but other sites will also feature it. The broadcast can also be seen on Nintendo's official site.

The June summer presentation of Nintendo was delayed due to complications cause by the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a separate event that is expected to air "late in the summer", said GameSpot.

Rogue Company, the team-based shooter, may be involved in the Direct Mini event. It teased its involvement on Twitter.

While there aren't much Switch games with pinned down release dates, there are some that have been announced which may be part of the broadcast.

Some games that may appear on Nintendo Direct Mini:

  • Metroid Prime 4 - being developed by Retro Studios and published by Nintendo to be a Switch game. It's the fourth installment in the Metroid Prime series. Retro Studios describes itself as a "partner".
  • Bayonetta 3 - it's an action game developed exclusively for Switch. It was announced in 2017 at The Game Awards but not much has been shown of the game.
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 - announce in E3 2019. It's less likely to be part of this Direct series unless Nintendo is going to bring in a surprise on who's developing it.
  • Shin Megami Tensei V - is an upcoming role-playing video game in Atlus' franchise that was announced in a Switch reveal event back in January 2017. There hasn't been much information since.
  • No More Heroes 3 - likely to be release this year and has had some published teaser trailers. It is a hack and slash video game developed by Grasshopper Manufacture for Switch. Despite the number, it's the fourth installment in its franchise.
  • Hollow Knight: Silksong - this sequel to Hollow Knight will first land exclusively on Switch, but it does not have a confirmed release date yet.
  • Bravely Defaulty 2 - also another Nintendo exclusive set for 2020 that is Square Enix's sequel to its 3DS RPGs.
  • Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers - this is already out in Japan, but has not had a Western release confirmed yet. It is a spin-off sequel to Persona 5.
  • Doom Eternal - its Switch release has been pushed back to later in the year when it was first meant to launch day-and-date with other platforms.

The list of coming releases is still not final and, we still have a few more hours left to find out. Maybe Nintendo has something else in store? We're just about to find out.
