Netflix's movies for July was an unusual dispute for the Top 10 movies which had seven films that claim the #1 position throughout July.

Back in late February, Netflix started to give the Top 10 featuring the list of most popular movies and shows on a given day. With the help of Forbes' rating system, here are the rankings of the movies and shows based on the daily rankings in the Top 10 lists of Netflix:

10. The Town

With a 75 score, "The Town" by Ben Affleck spent one day in second place and four days in third place. The film started the month of July a pretty good one. The crime drama fell off the list within twelve days of its run. However, the run was still a strong move to put the film on Netflix's top ten.

9. Patriots Day

"Patriots Day" started the month of July on becoming in #1 position for five days. After nine days, Mark Wahlberg's film exited the Top 10 as movies like "The Old Guard" and "The Lorax" began its domination on Netflix.

"Patriots Day" recounts the 2013 Boston marathon bombing as well as the subsequent manhunt. The film aims to stay true to the real events. Director Peter Berg made "Patriots Day" as his third film which is based on the headlines.

7. The Kissing Booth 2

The success of "The Kissing Booth 2" that placed it in the Top 10 for the first eight-days on Netflix is real quick! The film tied up in a seventh-place with 80 points. The rom-com film also achieved the first place having a streak that only four other movies made in the history of Netflix's Top 10: "The Wrong Missy," "Uncut Gems," "The Angry Birds Movie 2," and "Spenser Confidential." The Kissing Booth 2 is expected to be on the Top list again in August.

7. Despicable Me

On the same rank with "The Kissing Booth 2" as Netflix's #7 most popular movies, "Despicable Me" was also in the Top 10 ranking in April and May. The film was on third place for April, and on second place for the May rankings. Though July rankings resulted in the film being in 11th place, with the total 80 points, "Despicable Me" still made it this month to be in the top 10.

As per Forbes, no other movies racked more points than "Despicable Me." The film made a record of 90 appearances on the daily Top 10 of Netflix.

6. 365 Days

The film "365 Days" became trending on social media. On June 24, the film didn't make it to the Top 10. But the Polish erotic drama spent 45 consecutive days on the list and became the second-most behind "Despicable Me," and still earned 86 points to Forbes' rating system. 365 Days starter the month with an impressive third place but slipped down to the Top 10 and eventually fell off.

5.Fatal Affair

One of the most intriguing films "Fatal Affair" only spent 13 days on Top 10 but seven of those days were on high as the film enjoyed to be on the #1 spot on a streak. With Forbes' rating system, the film earned 98 points. Not bad at all!

"Fatal Affair" is about a woman who struggles with her relationship to her husband after she encountered an old friend. The woman will then find out that her old friend was obsessed with her and more dangerous and unstable than she knew.

4. How Do You Know

The seemingly forgotten romantic comedy film of 2010, "How Do You Know" surprised us with its rate on Netflix for the month of July. The movie premiered on Netflix on July 10 and immediately appeared on the Top 10 for 20 days. "How Do You Know" appeared in the top five for 12 times helping the film to earn 102 points in Forbes' rating system.

3. Desperados

"Desperados" dominated most of the days in July. The comedy film was placed on #1 spot for two days and made enough appearances in Top 10. "Desperados" consistently ranks near the top in July. The film fell from the entire Top 10 ranking on July 20.

2.The Old Guard

Garnering 182 points in Forbes, "The Old Guard" became the ninth most popular film of the Top 10 history. The film also appeared on Top 10 every day since it dropped its debut and was the second-most-popular movie in July. The film of Charlize Theron spent six days streak at #1 spot after the premiere and followed by the six days in #2 slots.

1. The Lorax

Three-day head starts on "The Old Guard," "The Lorax" meant everything. The animated film beat out every movie during the month of July. "The Lorax" hit a span of 25 points within the month of July. The Danny DeVito film became the 2020 sixth-most-popular movie on Netflix.

Everyone loved the film about a boy who searched for one thing to win the affection of a girl who later on discovered the story of the Lorax; the grumpy but charming creature who only wants to protect his world.
