Matima Miller, a TikTok star known by his nickname Swavy and Babyface.s, has passed away at age 19 after he was shot dead on Monday, July 5.

In a statement, the Wilmington Police Department said the TikTok star died from a fatal shooting incident at his home in Wilmington, Delaware.

 The Insider reported that police did not publicize Swavy's identity until Tuesday, July 6. Police stated that Swavy died after he was transferred to the hospital on Monday morning. However, police did not say where the TikTok star was shot in the shooting.

A public information officer for the police department said he could not give additional information due to an ongoing investigation.

Fellow TikTok star Kid Maury posted a video on his YouTube to talk about Swavy's death. Maury said that all Swavy did was make videos, and he kept everything real, Heavy reported. 

Maury noted that to see the TikTok star get taken out, just like that, "makes no sense." Since Matima Miller is gone, Maury said that he's about to take over for him.

Kid Maury and Matima Miller have appeared in videos together. Kid Maury, whose real name is Damaury Mikula, was one of Swavy's close friends. Mikula's YouTube video now has around one million views, The Daily Beast reported.

Swavy Death

Police had responded to the 700 block of Elbert Place. Mikula said that he just texted Matima Miller before it happened.

Heather Pepper, the medical examiner's spokeswoman, has yet to issue any information about the investigation.

One fan commented on Mikula's YouTube video, saying that Swavy was a really good person even though people only saw him through mobile phones. The fan added that the TikTok star brought good vibes and was always cheerful.

According to a Delaware Online report, Matima Miller's family had declined to comment on his death.

Matima Miller went by the handle @Babyface.s on TikTok. His TikTok page, which now has over 2.5 million followers and 98.4 million likes, featured many videos of him dancing and playing paintball. 

The TikTok star's Instagram account has more than 370,000 followers. Fans mourned Swavy's death on social media, with one Twitter user saying that "it's always the good ones" who died early.

Another Twitter user also said that the TikTok star is gone but will never be forgotten while posting a montage of Babyface.s previous videos as a tribute.

Other TikTok Stars Who Also Died Young

Aside from Babyface.s, other vloggers and TikTok stars also died at such a young age, like Dazhariaa at age 18. Dazhariaa Quint Noyes allegedly died by suicide last February. Her father confirmed it on the popular video app. 

Her father said that he just wanted to thank everyone for their love and support for his daughter, She The People reportedHer father did not state the TikTok star's cause of death, which led fans to speculate that she had taken her own life.

TikTok star Siya Kakkar was also reported dead at age 16 due to suicide in New Delhi last June. Kakkar's death was confirmed by her manager, saying that it must be due to something personal.

The manager said that in terms of work, the TikTok star was doing well. Kakkar had been popular for her dance videos.
