Packers legend Charles Woodson on Tuesday urged the Green Bay packers to let go of their notable quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, claiming that he is speaking from the standpoint of a general manager.

Woodson made his comments during an interview on "Good Morning Football" on the NFL Network, as he was asked if Rodger's current team should trade him, per New York Post.

"If I'm the Packers, I'm thinking about trading Aaron Rodgers if we can," Woodson said on the NFL network. He then explained that his comments were based on the current roster the Green Bay Packers have.

Woodson also noted that the Green Bay Packers should think about getting another quarterback to steady its quarterback room and get a "competition" against Jason Love.

"When I look at the team and this defense, and the way the defense performed, they have a good team," Woodson said, adding that the Packers would be able to go next season "solid" on the defense while letting its offense "catch up."

However, Woodson also spoke about Rodger's possible return on the team from a fan's viewpoint. The former Green Bay Packers player noted that "organizationally," people would like to see Rodgers back in the team.

It was not the first time Woodson commented about Rodgers' return from the Packers. Last year, Woodson said that he thought Rodgers would end his career in another place. Wodson and Rodgers became teammates for eight years in the Green Bay Packers.
