Caitlyn Jenner has been hired by Fox News as its new contributor, with her first appearance scheduled on Thursday on Sean Hannity's program.

Suzanne Scott, Fox News Media CEO, described Jenner as a trailblazer in the LGBTQ+ community, adding that the former Olympic decathlete's story is an "inspiration to us all," according to an USA Today News report.

The network said that Jenner will be offering commentary and analysis across different Fox News Media platforms.

Jenner said in a statement that she is humbled by the unique opportunity to speak directly to Fox News Media's millions of viewers about different issues that are "important to the American people," according to a Deadline report.

Jenner's inclusion in the media company was announced as Fox News has allotted a huge time on its recent programming schedule on Walt Disney Co.'s travails in Florida.

Walt Disney has opposed law in that state that bans classroom discussion of gender identity or sexual orientation from kindergarten to third grade.

It was known as the "Don't Say Gay" bill among critics. It was approved by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis earlier this week.

Other Fox personalities such as Kayleigh McEnany are among those who have scrutinized Disney.

Fox News has cited the Disney issue on air at least 250 times since Wednesday morning.

Caitlyn Jenner's Conservative Views

Jenner has been considered to be a polarizing figure in the LGBTQ+ community from pushing for conservative views regarding a wide range of topics, which included gender identity.

She has commented about the transgender University of Pennsylvania swimmer Lia Thomas, who won the women's NCAA Championships.

DeSantis has also proclaimed Emma Weyant, who took home silver, as the real winner. Jenner agreed and said that Weyant is the rightful winner, adding that "it's not transphobic or anti-trans."

Jenner said that it was common sense, according to a Daily Mail News report.

Caitlyn Jenner Coming Out

Jenner won the Olympic gold medal as a man in 1976. She then came out as transgender in 2015 and now identifies as a female.

She graduated from Graceland College in Iowa and was a native of Mount Kisco, New York.

Jenner attended on college on a college football scholarship. However, an injury pushed her to return to track and field.

She is also known for being the parent and step-parent of 10 children, including the Kardashian sisters, as well as Kyle and Kendall Jenner.

Jenner has appeared on E! Network's long-running reality TV show Keeping Up with The Kardashians, which had ended last year.

She appeared on Vanity Fair's 2015 cover coming out as a transgender. Before that, she was involved in a multi-vehicle crash in California, killing 70-year-old Kim Howe and injuring several other people.

Jenner has not received any criminal charges due to insufficient evidence. However, she later reached separate settlements with the victims of the collision.

Last year, she ran in for governor during the California recall election. However, she just won one percent of the vote.
