  • "It is so heartbreaking to not only continue to see the crimes against AAPIs but on the heels of the horrific shooting in Buffalo, we know that our community isn't the only one that is being targeted by white supremacy and the extreme rhetoric coming from the right."
  • "As a community, one of the ways we are fighting back is getting involved more civically - not only in elected office but getting involved in the most local of ways by showing up to city council meetings and school board meetings."
  • "We are making tremendous progress and we are seeing this trend of greater numbers of people of color running for office and being in political office since Donald Trump got elected in 2016."

  • "We need to invest in our community in terms of civic engagement and thinking so we can do more to serve our people and our community."
