A Puerto Rico judge has issued a restraining order against Ricky Martin in accordance with the country's domestic violence law.

The Puerto Rican pop sensation denied the domestic violence allegations through his representatives, who said the accusations were not true. 

"The allegations against Ricky Martin that lead to a protection order are completely false and fabricated," Martin's representatives said in a statement sent to ET on Saturday. Martin's team further noted that Ricky Martin would be fully "vindicated" when the truth comes out.

According to reports, Martin's husband, Jwan Yosef, was not the person who requested the restraining order from the judge in Puerto Rico.

Ricky Martin Faces Restraining Order From Puerto Rico Over Domestic Abuse

A temporary domestic abuse restraining order was filed against Ricky Martin in Puerto Rico, and officers visited the town of Dorado, where the "She Bangs" singer lives, to serve him the order on Friday.

However, the police were not able to locate the singer as of Monday, police spokesman Axel Valencia told The Associated Press.

Valencia did not mention the name of the petitioner of the restraining order. However, local media reported that the petitioner and the singer dated for seven months and broke up two months ago.

Fox News reported that the restraining order issued to Martin prevents him from contacting the petitioner, whether in person or over the phone.

Furthermore, the domestic abuse restraining order also directed the singer to refrain from "approaching, harassing, intimidating, threatening," or in any way interferes with the petitioner.

The outlet noted that Martin did not agree to the separation, calling the unnamed petitioner frequently. The Puerto Rican singer was reportedly loitering near the petitioner's residence at least three times.

Local media reported that the restraining order against Ricky Martin is set to expire on July 21. A hearing will reportedly take place, but the specific time and day of the said trial were unclear.

Ricky Martin's Other Legal Troubles

The restraining order filed by a judge in Puerto Rico was not the only legal trouble the singer is facing right now. Last week, the "Livin' La Vida Loca" singer's former manager, Rebecca Drucker, sued him over unpaid commissions.

Drucker's legal team has filed the lawsuit against Ricky Martin in Los Angeles Central District Court, and she was seeking at least $3 million for the services she provided. Drucker worked for Martin for two "separate periods" - from 2014 to 2018 and 2020 to 2022.

The 15-page complaint alleged that Drucker guided the Puerto Rican performer through "recording contracts, touring and sponsorship deals, and other professional endeavors" and cites his North American tour with Enrique Iglesias."

According to Billboard's 2021 Year-End Boxscore chart, Martin's 2021 North American joint tour with Iglesias grossed a total of $19 million. With Drucker at his side, the complaint noted that Martin "made millions of dollars and therefore owes Rebecca substantial commissions." 

The ex-manager was reportedly promised a 10% commission on gross income under the Management Agreement. But the Puerto Rican singer allegedly did not fulfill the promise as he "completely and maliciously refused to pay" her.

"By his flagrant breach of contract, Martin betrayed Rebecca and took for granted her loyalty, dedication, and exceptional service to him," the complaint read. 

Drucker also claimed that Ricky Martin regularly manipulated and lied to her, leading to her resignation last April. The ex-manager is demanding a jury trial on all issues and causes of action.
