The Texas airport shooter that wreaked havoc on Dallas Love Field airport on Monday reportedly claimed to be the wife of singer Chris Brown.

Portia Odufuwa, the Texas airport shooter, repeatedly gave the home address of the singer, claiming that she lived with Brown and called him her husband, New York Post reported, citing affidavits.

Odufuwa made the claims about being Brown's wife when she was accused of pulling the fire alarm of a hotel in the 400 block of Towne Crossing and was refused an extension to her stay last year.

Odufuwa also previously claimed to be "God's prophet," during an incident in 2019 where she was found staring at a burning house in Mesquite. During that time, the Texas airport shooter told the police that she was responsible for the fire.

"I am God's prophet ... I'm basically letting you all know that I am the cause of this fire," Odufuwa said in the arrest warrant.

The owner of the home wanted to pursue charges against Odufuwa at that time. However, District Attorney John Creuzot said in an interview with Morning News, without elaborating, that charges were not filed due to a lack of scientific evidence.

Texas Airport Shooter Free From Crimes Over Mental Illness

Court records show that the Texas airport shooter was caught in several other crimes, including arson, criminal trespass, false reporting, and robbery, per The Dallas Morning News.

According to reports, the said charges were all filed against the Texas airport shooter in North Texas. However, several of her charges were dismissed, including the fire alarm incident last year and the arson incident she claimed was started by her.

She was found incompetent to stand trial several times due to her mental health. As of Tuesday, it was unclear what mental health diagnoses Odufuwa.

Texas Airport Shooting

On Monday, the Dallas police reported that the Texas airport shooter was dropped off at the Love Field Airport around 11 a.m., where she went inside a bathroom and then came out wearing a hoodie before the shooting.

According to FOX 4, one witness noticed Odufuwa when she yelled at the Texas airport, claiming that she had an announcement to make.

Ashley Wycoff, an eyewitness, said that the Odufuwa talked about someone who failed her husband and then said that he was about to "blow this place up." Wycoff then noted that Odufuwa brandished a gun and started to open fire.

Police Chief Eddie Garcia noted that the Texas airport shooter fired multiple rounds onto the ceiling.

Garcia noted that Dallas police veteran, Ronald Cronin, asked the shooter to lower her gun. But surveillance footage showed that when Odufuwa pointed her weapon toward Cronin and a bystander. The Dallas police veteran quickly took cover in a ticketing kiosk and angled himself to shoot the suspect.

"I'm very proud of him... If it was appropriate, I would have given that officer a medal right here in front of all of you today," Garcia said.

As of Tuesday morning, the Texas airport shooter remained in the hospital where she was shot. The extent of her injuries is unknown.

There were no other injuries following the incident.
