Three missing Texas sisters were found dead on their neighbor's pond. The siblings vanished from their home while they were being babysat by a family friend.

The Daily Mail reported that the Texas sisters were identified as Zi'Ariel Robinson Oliver, 9; A'Miyah Hughes, 8; and Te'Mari Robinson Oliver, 5.

All three were reported missing from their residence on a Friday night.

A dive team retrieved the bodies of the three missing girls from a private pond on a neighboring property on Saturday.

Texas Sisters Missing

Cass County Sheriff Larry Rowe said they had no idea what the three girls were doing in the neighbor's pond, according to a KSAT report. Rowe clarified that nobody has been accused of anything.

A family friend had been watching the three girls with their other siblings while their mother, Shommaonique Oliver, 28, was at work. The babysitter then called 911 to report the missing three children.

Police focused their search around the neighbor's pond after they found pair of shoes and other items of clothing were found near and in the water.

Texas Game Warden Shawn Hervey said that the incident is not an "everyday occurrence," but it happens. Hervey said that they located items of clothing around the pond and in the pond.

The search for the three girls involved agents of the local police, fire department, and game wardens.

Death of Texas Sisters

Authorities noted that they also found footprints in the mud near the spot where the shoes were found, as reported by Fox News.

Officials suggested that the children's death may have been an accident. Lieutenant Game Warden Jason Jones said that none of the girls had life jackets on, adding that they did not know how strong of swimmers they were or if they were swimmers at all.

The mother of the children confirmed that the shoes belonged to one of her daughters.

Shommaonique noted that she is heartbroken over the loss of her daughters, adding that she will not be accepting interviews at this time.

She also noted on social media that the incident was "unexpected' and was a "big hurt and shock" to the whole family.

She has created a GoFundMe account to help with their funeral costs and other related expenses. The grieving mother noted that whatever donation she receives will be appreciated.

Friends and family have extended their support to the girls' mother.

One Stephanie Spriggs-Luckey wrote that no words will bring comfort to Shommaonique. She added that she will be praying for God to bring her peace and comfort.

Shommaonique's cousin also posted photos of the girls on Facebook, with a caption saying they are on her mind.

Investigators are still working to connect the incidents that led to the siblings' death.

Currently, no criminal charges have been filed relating to the death of the three girls.
