Amber Heard's sister has slammed MTV over her ex-brother-in-law Johnny Depp's brief appearance at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

According to TMZ, Whitney Henriquez posted a screenshot of MTV's award show logo, but she placed a big capital D at the front, showing the word "DVMA." DV reportedly stands for domestic violence.

"@MTV YOU'RE DISGUSTING AND CLEARLY DESPERATE! I REALLY HOPE THAT NONE OF THE PEOPLE THAT MADE THIS CALL HAVE DAUGHTERS... #DVMAS #ISTANDWITHAMBERHEARD," Henriquez said in the poster on her Instagram stories.

The poster also featured a photo of the actress superimposed on Amber Heard's sister's mock-up, implying their family was unhappy with the network's decision to feature Johnny Depp.

Johnny Depp's Surprise Appearance on MTV VMAs

Johnny Depp made a surprise appearance at the 2022 MTV VMAs. It happened three months after the Virginia court vested the verdict in his defamation trial.

The actor appeared in a brief cameo at the show's beginning as the "Moonman." Depp's face appeared digitally on the helmet and floated above the stage as soon as the broadcast started.

He then hovered above the crowd at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, and had a short monologue, referencing that he was available for any gig now as he was in need of work.

The actor then appeared again as the show came back from commercials.

"Hey VMAs, let's get back to the f---ing music, shall we," Depp said during his appearance at the awards show.

It was reportedly Depp's first TV appearance in a long time. Earlier this month, the actor's upcoming return to acting was revealed.

He will give life to the role of King Louis XV in the period drama "Jeanne du Barry," which WhyNotProductions and France Televisions will release. The film will be directed by French director Maiwenn, who will also star in the film.

Amber Heard's Sister Admits Her Sister Cut Off Johnny Depp's Finger

Early this month, it was reported that Amber Heard's sister admitted that the actress had cut off Johnny Depp's finger during an argument in Australia in 2015.

According to reports, this was revealed in unsealed court documents. During the defamation trial in Virginia, Depp testified in April that his ex-wife severed the tip of his finger when she threw a vodka bottle at him.

According to a deposition that was disclosed following the unsealing of more than 6,000 pages of court documents late last month, Jennifer Howell, a former boss of Whitney Henriquez, witnessed the latter receiving texts from the actress in which she admitted her role in the incident.

Howell, an art curator, testified that Henriquez just screamed: "She's done it now. She's cut off his Godd**n finger," and made this huge proclamation.

Howell added: "And she goes, 'She cut off his finger. She cut off his finger.' And then she bolted out the door and was like, 'I got to call somebody'."

When Henriquez returned, Howell said Heard's sister told her it was her sister and Depp, and the actress apparently threw a bottle and cut off his finger.

Heard has denied causing the injury as the actor hurt himself during a drunken rage. During the trial, the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor admitted that he lied to a doctor when he said he had smashed his finger between accordion doors at the time to protect Heard.

Depp and Heard have battled over a 2018 op-ed the actress wrote for the Washington Post, calling herself a domestic violence survivor.

The piece did not mention Depp by name, but the actor claimed he was booted from the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise due to the "clear implication" that he was the abuser in his ex-wife's op-ed.

Depp also alleged that Heard was the actual "perpetrator" of the violent encounters that damaged their relationship. He asked for $50 million in damages. The actress countersued for $100 million for nuisance.

On June 1, a Virginia court ruled that Heard must pay her ex-husband $10 million in compensatory damages and $350,000 in punitive damages.

And with Johnny Depp's former lawyer referring to Amber Heards' claims as a "hoax," the actress was awarded $2 million by the jury in compensatory damages for her counterclaim but nothing in punitive damages. Both parties are appealing the judgment.
