With Canada, Mexico, and Costa Rica already eliminated during the Qatar World Cup, the only North American team left is the USMNT after the heroics of "Captain America" himself, Christian Pulisic, who scored that winning goal against Iran.

The United States men's national soccer team (USMNT) is a young and inexperienced team, but Pulisic, who plays as a winger for the English team Chelsea, is coming out as one of the United States rising soccer stars.

With the USA already qualifying for the Round of 16, Pulisic hoped to keep the Americans' dreams alive as they face off against the heavily-favored Netherlands next. So, who is Christian Pulisic?

Christian Pulisic's Road to Chelsea and the World Cup

"Captain America" is considered one of Chelsea's rising stars. But before he got to where he is now, including being a part of the World Cup, the American had traversed a long road.

Born in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Christian Pulisic grew up in a soccer family, as both his parents played the "beautiful game" when they were still young. His father even coached soccer.

Pulisic began playing professionally for the indoor club Detroit Ignition. According to Soccer Souls, he also played for various youth clubs, including Brackley Town, Michigan Rush, and PA Classics.

As Pulisic was becoming far too good for playing in the youth leagues, and his coaches all agreed, he signed with Borussia Dortmund in 2015 and stayed with the German team until 2019, according to Goal.

He played in the German youth division with Borussia Dortmund but was soon promoted to the senior team after a year. Pulisic soon became one of the club's key players, scoring 10 goals for the German side and catching the attention of other European clubs.

In 2019, the American signed with one of the world's biggest teams, Chelsea, and played in the English Premier League. As he enters the 2022-23 Premier League season, he has already scored a total of 44 goals in 243 club games, including 19 with Borussia Dortmund.

When he arrived at Chelsea to play for the Blues, he immediately had a lasting impact, scoring 11 goals in his first 34 games.

In 2021, the Chelsea star won his first-ever Champions League. It was considered historic as he became the first American to play in a UEFA Champions League Final and the first American to be part of the Champions League-winning team.

How Much Is Christian Pulisic's Net Worth?

Like many athletes of his caliber, Christian Pulisic also has several endorsements under his belt. He is sponsored by Puma and has worked with various companies like Gatorade, Chipotle, and EA Sports.

According to Clutch Points, his contract with Chelsea netted him a huge 64-million-euro contract, which is around $73 million. They also estimated his net worth at around $10 million, taking his salary and various endorsements into consideration.

Experts are saying that his net worth is expected to rise, as the Chelsea and USMNT star is still very young with a bright future ahead of him.
