Tom Brady will be joining the Fox Sports broadcasting team in 2024 after his recent announcement of his second NFL retirement.

The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback told "The Herd" host Colin Cowherd that he wanted to be great at what he does, adding that he will "take some time to really learn," and be great at what he wants to do, according to Fox Sports.

Brady went on to say that it is a great opportunity for him to "take some time" for the Fox Sports broadcasting job. Brady likened broadcasting to his football career, noting in his interview that it gives him a chance to "find success with people that believe in him."

The famed quarterback said his priority in the coming years is to spend time with his family, including preparations to do well as a broadcaster.

Brady announced his second NFL retirement after 23 seasons in the NFL, wherein he spent his first 20 seasons with the Patriots before retiring with the Bucs.

How Much Will Tom Brady Earn at Fox Sports?

Brady agreed to a 10-year deal worth, $375 million contract with FOX Sports in May 2022. The deal deems him to be the network's lead NFL analyst immediately after his playing career.

There is an assumption that the NFL legend will take over as FOX Sports' lead analyst when he joins the team.

Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen has been in a broadcasting role with No. 1 play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt, according to NBC Connecticut.

The deal was earlier reported during his first retirement but was not set to start until he is done with his NFL career.

Aside from the FOX Sports deal, he has other side businesses such as his TB12, which is a program built around a regimen created by his body coach Alex Guerrero, as cited by Sportico.

He also hired more than 100 employees for his NFT platform for sports and pop culture collectibles, Autograph.

Tom Brady's NFL Retirement

Brady announced his NFL retirement at the start of February, which was a year after he made the same announcement but decided to play another season.

Brady made the retirement announcement in a short video clip, saying that people only get "one super emotional retirement essay and I used mine up last year," as noted by CNBC.

He was considered to be the greatest quarterback of all time, finishing with seven Super Bowl titles with the Patriots and Buccaneers

The former quarterback played for the Patriots from 2000 to 2019 and joined the Buccaneers in 2020.

He then exited his NFL career with the Bucs after the first losing season in his entire career.

His retirement came after he and supermodel ex-wife Gisele Bündchen finalized their divorce in October.

Aside from the NFL losing streak, he is facing lawsuits from FTX investors after the bankruptcy of the cryptocurrency exchange.

FTX investors noted in a lawsuit that Brady should have done "more due diligence" before doing promotions for the cryptocurrency exchange.
