The suspect behind last Monday's attack in Philadelphia shooting has been identified as the death toll climbed to five. Four people, including two children ages two and 13, were also wounded in the attack.

ABC 6 Action News reported that several sources have identified the shooter as Kimbrady Carriker, a resident of the 5600 block of Belmar Terrace, which is just a few blocks from where the shooting happened.

However, the mass shooter is yet to be charged, though Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner stated on Tuesday afternoon that he expects charges to be made against Carriker very soon, including multiple charges of murder.

Sources said that the Philadelphia shooting suspect owned all the guns used in the attack. He also made disturbing posts on social media before the July 3 Philadelphia shooting happened. He was armed with a semi-automatic rifle, a handgun, and a ballistic vest. He was also found carrying a police scanner.

Carriker, who was arrested without incident after police arrived at the scene, was wearing body armor when he attacked last Monday. He already has a criminal record, including s misdemeanor drug and gun charges from 2003. These charges led him to go on probation.

Philadelphia Shooting Victims Also Identified

Initial reports indicated that Carriker killed four people and injured four others. However, the number of fatalities has now gone up to five, with the victims all being identified.

According to NBC News, everyone who was killed in last Monday's attack were all male. The youngest of the victims was still only 15 years old and has been identified as Daujan Brown. The other victims include 20-year-old Lashyd Merritt, 29-year-old Dymir Stanton, 59-year-old Ralph Moralis, and Joseph Wamah Jr., 31. All victims had been shot multiple times.

Meanwhile, a 2-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy, who were also shot, were taken to the hospital and are in stable condition. Their names were not released to the public. The two-year-old's twin and their 33-year-old mother were also injured by flying glass.

Another man was also taken into custody after he picked up a gun and shot at the suspect. However, Philadelphia police released him without charges as authorities found no basis that he discharged a firearm illegally, with police confirming that he appeared to have acted in self-defense.

Philadelphia Shooting Suspect Appeared To Be Firing Randomly, Say Officials

Law enforcement officials provided an update on Tuesday regarding the mass shooting that happened in Philadelphia's Kingsessing neighborhood. City officials, including Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney, offered their condolences to the families of the victims and lamented the rise of gun violence.

Staff Inspector Ernest Ransom noted that suspect Kimbrady Carriker was "shooting aimlessly" at occupied vehicles and people on the street as they walked. He shot at a passing car being driven by the 33-year-old mother, hitting one of the twins.

This was when officers finally confronted the shooter and chased him in a rear alleyway on the 1600 block of South Frazier Street. Officials say he was firing randomly at people, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
